Group music lessons at The Gorin School of Music provide students with an intimate knowledge of the inner workings of music. Group classes, whether offered as piano lessons, guitar lessons, singing lessons, or music lessons, assist students in their study of music theory (harmony and form analysis), ear training, Solfeggio, rhythmic training, and music history.
Preparatory Music Group Lessons
for children, ages 5-7 & 7-10, who are just starting their music study.
This is an introduction, before the study of any instruments. The instructions
in a group setting are very effective. The students will learn the musical
alphabet, develop a sense of rhythm, practice ear training, and sing songs-
all presented in a format of games and fun learning. In addition to creative
learning in a relaxed environment, students will be introduced to several
instruments every session (see details below under the schedule). This will
give students an opportunity to discover some instruments and perhaps choose
one for further study.
Classes will be conducted once per week:
Wednesdays, 6:15-7:15 p.m. with introduction to Clarinet & Saxophone
Class starts on March 6 and ends on May 8 (total of 9 group lessons). Instructor:
Mr. James Pytko.
Saturdays, 9:45-10:45
a.m. with introduction to Violin & Piano

Ms. Nancy Zhou.
